Understanding what student affairs will look like in a future where more students are learning online depends largely on who our students will be, how their needs will change, and how they will experience higher education in that emerging context. One way to start is by examining what we already know about today's students and their interactions with immersive technologies. Presenters and participants will deliberate how classic notions of identity are changing in the wake of social media, its impact on the way we view student development, and implications for the future role of student affairs in technology rich learning contexts.
